Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is charged with multiple traffic challans for reckless driving on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Captain who is known for his love for speed, received three traffic challans on his way to join his team in Pune during the ongoing ICC world cup match, reports Pune Time Mirror.
Traffic authorities have reported that the Indian Captain was driving at astonishingly high speeds, exceeding 200km/hr and even reaching 215 km/hr at times. The report has not mentioned the date on which the incident has taken place. But it is likely to be held between Monday and Tuesday.
Rohit’s Lamborghini has got its own specialized number plate which is identified as his best ODI score of 264. The Indian skipper landed in Pune with his other teammates on Sunday. The team then returned to practice on Tuesday evening for their World Cup match at MCA stadium on Thursday.
Rohit Sharma is in his finest form ever since the World Cup matches resumed. He had made some amazing progress during the World Cup. He jumped five places and now have reached sixth in the ICC ODI batters ranking list. In the last match with Pakistan, Rohit Sharma displayed a remarkable performance by taking 86 runs in just 63 balls. He also amassed 131 runs against Afghanistan.
The same form if maintained, India will be able to beat Bangladesh in the upcoming match. India has lost three time in the last four ODI’s with Bangladesh. If India wins in the next match, they will have all total four wins added to their bag which will help to boost their position to the top.
The Men in Blue are due to face Bangladesh at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday, October 19.
