BCCI Central Contract 2025: Iyer And Kishan Return; See Full List Of 34 Players (image: instagram/@indiancricketteam)
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the annual player contracts for 2024-25. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan are included back in the list after being left out in the previous time. The contract for Indian Men’s Team for the period of October 1,2024 to September 30,2025 were awarded to 34 players in four categories.
Iyer and Kishan were removed from the central contract last time for skipping Ranji Trophy that season, contradicting BCCI guidelines. Kishan who is now part of Grade C, has not played international cricket since then. Iyer, on the other hand, evolving as a crucial member of the Indian ODI squad through his consistent outings in the Champions Trophy acquired Grade B.
The top category, Grade A+ was given to Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja and the players will receive Rs 7 crore.
Another notable change was the promotion of Rishabh Pant from Grade B (₹3 cr) to Grade A (₹5 cr) replacing retired Ravichandran Ashwin. Pant was part of Grade A for 2022-23, but demoted to Grade B for the next season following his absence after a car crash.
Meanwhile, some new names were included in the contact list, all in Grade C (₹1 cr). Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, Abhishek Sharma, Sarfaraz Khan, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana are the players who got the maiden BCCI central contract.
Four players who were listed the last time were excluded from the current contract, Shardul Thakur, KS Bharat, Avesh Khan, and Jitesh Sharma.

Grade A ( ₹5 crore): Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Shami, Rishabh Pant
Grade B ( ₹3 crore): Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer
Grade C ( ₹1 crore): Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana.
