Jamiat Ahle Hadith’s central decision making body (Shura) meeting held at the Okhla Ahle Hadith Complex called upon the Muslim minority to move forward with confidence in the face of challenges in various fields. The meeting has also called upon Muslims to democratically defend the attempts to destroy the community’s confidence.
The meeting has also asked the community to identify the strategies set by interest groups to divide the Muslim minority.
“Attempts are being by interest groups to destroy the organised interventions by using Muslim namesakes and weaker sections of the community,” it said.
The Shura has also demanded that the community should be more cautious as the country is going to face general elections.
It also noted that there are widespread calculated efforts by certain groups to stir up communal tensions and demanded to counter such moves to divide people with messages of friendship.
The Shura asked the Muslim minority to vote to protect secularism and democracy in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting instructed the members of the Central Shura to make necessary interventions in each state.
The meeting also asked to pay attention to avoid the situation in which secular parties being defeated after minority votes are divided, and added that the latest discourses surrounding CAA, Uniform Civil Code and mob violence are moves made in anticipation of elections. The recent Gyan Vyapi issue should also be seen as part of an attempt to get votes.
The attempt to create problems by taking the country”s mosques to court is a disgrace. It should be understood that efforts to weaken the Muslim minority by stirring up emotions cannot be countered by communalism or terrorism.
