Former India captain MS Dhoni is aging like a fine wine. At 42, he is still one of the fittest cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is gearing up for the lucrative tournament which is set to get underway on Friday.
Ahead of the IPL 2024, Dhoni’s hair was styled by the celebrity hairdresser Aalim Hakim. The veteran wicketkeeper batter also turned into a model for Hakim to showcase his new look. Incidentally, Dhoni will don long hairs in the IPL 2024, similar to his formative years.

Dhoni handed over the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captaincy to young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. It will only be the second time when he will not start an IPL season as the captain. However, he will continue to groom the players and guide them from behind the stumps and in the dressing room, in his farewell season.
The Ranchi-native has featured for the now defunct Rising Pune Supergiant apart from CSK in the IPL, holding the record for captaining the most matches in the lucrative tournament. He has featured in 250 matches, raking up 5082 runs at an average of 38.79 and strike rate of 135.92. He has 24 half-centuries to his name.
