T20 World Champions Team India arrived at the New Delhi airport in the early hours of Thursday. The Men in Blue arrived in the national capital on a specially arranged chartered flight by the BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah.
Each member of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad wore the white T-shirt from their team kit with the Champions’ medal hanging around their neck while Team India captain Rohit Sharma was seen holding up the trophy and displaying it to the fans and other Indians on arrival at the airport.

After their arrival, the T20 World Champions were escorted to the team bus. A video captured former India captain Virat Kohli and other Indian cricketers filming the fans in a celebratory mood at the airport. “Men’s Indian Cricket Team waves at supporters gathered at Delhi airport to welcome the winning team. India defeated South Africa by 7 runs on June 29, in Barbados,” ANI wrote.

Team India departed to ITC Maurya from the New Delhi airport where a special cake in team jersey color with a replica of the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy was placed on its top. Talking about the special tribute set to be given to Team India, Chef Shivneet Pahoja said: “The cake is in the colour of the Team’s jersey. Its highlight is this trophy, it may look like an actual trophy but this is made out of chocolate…This is our welcome to the winning team…We have arranged the breakfast at the special venue.”
