Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Team India captain Rohit Sharma, posted a long message for her husband after the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.
In the message, which is her Instagram picture caption where she was seen hugging Rohit after the T20 World Cup 2024 final win over South Africa, Sajdeh describes about the Team India captain’s ordeal after the 2023 World Cup final loss to Australia. Incidentally, under the captaincy of Rohit, Team India also lost the 2023 World Test Championship Final.
“Ro, I know what this has meant to you. This format, this cup, these men, this journey and this entire process of getting what you’ve always dreamed of. I know how hard these last few months have been for you. I know the toll it’s taken on your heart, mind and body but watching you achieve your dream was incredibly emotional and inspiring,” Ritika Sajdeh captioned the picture.

Opting to bat, former India captain Virat Kohli played a cautious knock of 76 runs while he was well supported by Axar Patel’s 47, propelling the side to a record total of 176/7. In the chase, South Africa were restricted to 169/8 with Heinrich Klaasen top-scoring for his side with 52 runs.
This was India’s first ICC title since winning the Champions Trophy in 2013 and the second T20 World Cup title after their triumph in the inaugural edition in 2007.
“Very hard to sum up what we have been through for the last 3-4 years. To be honest, we worked very hard as individuals and as a team a team, lot has gone on behind the scenes for us to be here today and win this game. It is not what we did today, it is what we have been doing for the last 3-4 years,” Rohit Sharma said after the historic win.
