Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja joined Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in announcing their retirement from the shortest format after the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.
Jadeja, who made his T20Is debut in 2009, took to Instagram to express his gratitude after featuring in 74 matches for the national team. The all-rounder further said that he will continue to give his best for the national team in other formats and winning the T20 World Cup was the pinnacle of his dreams.
“With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support,” Jadeja wrote in his post on Instagram.

Following his T20Is debut against Sri Lanka in Colombo, the Rajkot-native scored 515 runs at an average of 21.45 and highest score of an unbeaten 46. He scalped 54 wickets in the format with the best bowling figures of 3/15 in an innings.
In the T20 World Cup 2024, he scored 35 runs in five innings with the best score of an unbeaten 17 but disappointed with the ball.
