California, US: Apple‘s CEO Tim Cook launched its latest Mac mini powered by the advanced M4 and M4 Pro chipsets on Tuesday. These new chips make the Mac mini up to 1.8 times faster for tasks and 2.2 times faster for graphics compared to the previous model.

The new Mac mini is very much smaller than before and measures just five inches in length and width. It now has ports on both the front and back including a Thunderbolt 5 connector, which is a first for this device. Users will find two USB-C ports on the front along with a headphone jack and an HDMI port. Tim Cook said that the new Mac mini is built exclusively for Apple Intelligence in a conveniently compact design.
When it comes to the features, the base model features a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU with 16GB of memory. For more power, the M4 Pro version offers a 14-core CPU and a faster GPU, supporting up to 64GB of memory.
The M4 Pro model can support up to three 6K displays at 60Hz while the non-Pro version supports up to two 6K displays and one 5K display.
Apple claims that the new Mac mini is a powerhouse of performance, efficiency and silence which combines Apple silicon’s power and the device breezes through intensive workloads at incredible speeds.
The new Mac mini with M4 starts at Rs 59,900 while the M4 Pro version starts at Rs 1,49,900. The company has included educational pricing which is available at Rs 49,900 and Rs 1,39,900, respectively. Pre-orders are open now and the devices will be available in Apple stores from November 2024.
