Since thousands of Apple customers lined up outside the company’s flagship in Delhi and Mumbai stores to purchase the newly launched iPhone 16 series, the quick commerce app blinkit has been delivering iPhone 16 faster and has reached a record order in the morning itself.
blinkit with its lightning-fast delivery in just 10 minutes has reached 300 iPhone delivery in a couple of minutes. According to co-founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa, the platform is set to complete 300 deliveries across India. “We started delivering iPhones at 8 AM, and we’re going to cross the 300 mark in a couple of minutes,” Dhindsa wrote on X. “Today is going to be one crazy day!”

blinkit made the new iPhone 16 series available in selected cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru at a starting price of Rs 79,900 for the base model. This marks blinkit’s third consecutive year of partnering with Unicorn Stores which is an authorised Apple retailer for quick deliveries on launch day.

Early in the morning, many customers and iPhone lovers flocked to the store to get their hands on the latest iPhone 16 series. The launch saw long queues and excitement among Apple fans who are eager to experience the new features and upgrades of the iPhone 16 series. Customers can purchase the devices online and offline through Apple’s official website, retail stores, and authorised sellers since the sale commenced today.

The base model of the newly launched series, the iPhone 16 has gained momentum over the Pro models as it garnered 37 million pre-orders in less than two weeks. According to Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models have seen lower demand, with pre-orders down 27% and 16% respectively compared to last year. This decline seems surprising that the excitement surrounding the new series that anticipated more sales for the Pro models. However, the base models iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus witnessed significant growth with pre-orders up 10% and 48% (Approx. 37 million orders) respectively.
