Popular micro-blogging platform X, formerly called Twitter, is working to integrate game streaming and live shopping features on the platform. Billionaire Elon Musk also posted a video regarding this major development. “Tested the X video game streamer system last night. It works! Will try to complete a Tier 100 Nightmare dungeon tonight live on this platform,” Musk said.
Tesla CEO made this significant move as part of converting the X platform into an “everything app”. Elon Musk also streamed his gameplay of the Nightmare dungeon in an almost 40-minute-long video. As of now, this feature is still in testing process. However, X Premium subscribers can try this feature with early access. Premium subscribers can access it by connecting Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to their Twitter accounts through X Media Studio. It also supports viewer comments. The micro-blogging platform clearly focus on creators and new video features to attract more users.
X will experiment the live shopping features through a partnership with media icon Paris Hilton. As per the Variety report, Hilton has signed on to “create four original video content programs per year that include live-shopping features”. X Users will be able to go through various products while watching a livestream with Paris Hilton, and can proceed to the website to make purchases using the in-app browser. Earlier too, X made efforts to make shopping as its key feature. Elon Musk too earlier stated that he will make this platform as a place that caters to creators and allows them to monetize their fan bases.
