Meta-owned Instagram is currently testing a new feed option in which users can view posts only from verified users. This was announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri through his broadcast channel on Instagram on October 23. With the help of this new feature, Instagram users can see posts from their favourite celebrities and brands without having to scroll through the entire feed.

Adam Mosseri posted an image on his broadcast channel in which the new Meta Verified toggle is appearing as an option under “Following” and “Favorites”. The “verified-only feed” feature is expected to increase the creator”s visibility, and in this way, Instagram is trying to encourage more people to get the verified badges. Earlier, microblogging platform X also introduced a similar feature. The platform allowed users to only permit comments from verified handles. This means that an X user can block unverified accounts from replying to their posts. Instagram”s new feature is currently available to only a few users as it is in the testing stage. However, the platform has not revealed when it will be rolled out to more users.

Meta Verified is a subscription plan for content creators on Facebook and Instagram. Verified users can experience various exclusive features. This includes verified badges, account impersonation protection, and exclusive stickers. In India, Meta Verified will cost ₹699 per month on Android and iOS. Web-based subscribers are required to pay a subscription price of ₹599 per month for the Meta Verified. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg earlier said that the primary objective of Meta Verified is to improve authenticity and security across various services of Meta.
