Ahead of the launch, leaks have sparked discussions around pricing. For years, Apple has maintained a $799 (around ₹79,990) starting price for the standard iPhone, but reports now suggest a possible hike. The iPhone 17 (128GB) is tipped to start at $849 (around ₹84,990).

The new iPhone 17 Air is likely to be priced from around ₹99,999 in India, depending on storage variants. The iPhone 17 Pro, which has traditionally been a popular choice among buyers, is rumoured to cost $1,049 (around ₹1,24,990) for the 256GB model, while the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max could see its price rise to $1,249 (around ₹1,50,000). This would mean an increase of nearly $50–100 across the range compared to last year’s models.
The expected price hike is being linked to a series of significant upgrades. The iPhone 17 Pro models are likely to feature a slimmer titanium frame, an A19 Bionic processor, and a substantially improved camera system, especially for low-light photography. Apple is also said to be working on bigger batteries and faster charging support, alongside shipping the devices with iOS 19 out of the box.

For Indian buyers, the launch is expected to follow Apple’s usual cycle, with pre-orders opening within days of the global announcement and the devices reaching stores by mid-September. The pricing, however, remains speculative until Apple makes an official confirmation at the launch event.
