OnePlus, the renowned Chinese smartphone maker, is all set to launch the much-awaited OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R in India and other global markets on January 23. Both smartphones have recently made their debut in China. The OnePlus 12 is expected to come as a flagship smartphone, and the OnePlus 12R may arrive with a more affordable price tag.
The OnePlus 12, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, is expected to sport a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Notably, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is considered to be the best chipset available for Android devices currently. The China variant of the OnePlus 12 offers up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. However, reports suggest that the global variant offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
In terms of camera, the OnePlus 12 is all set to include third-generation Hasselblad-tuned cameras. The device is expected to be equipped with a triple-rear camera setup. This consists of a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony LYT-808 and OIS, a 64MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The device is likely to be powered by a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W SuperVOOC charging. The OnePlus 12 will be available in new colour variants, including green, silver, and black. In terms of pricing, the flagship OnePlus 12 is expected to cost around Rs 60,000 in India.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R is said to be the global rebranding of the OnePlus Ace 3. The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and may also feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 12R is likely to be backed by a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Also, the smartphone may include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The OnePlus 12R is likely to arrive with a price tag of over Rs 40,000.
