R Systems Signs MoU With IIT Delhi To Set Up Applied AI Centre
R Systems International Limited (a Blackstone portfolio Company), a global leader in digital product engineering and technology solutions, and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further its commitment to AI.
At IIT Delhi, R Systems will establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) on Applied AI for Sustainable Systems. This center will have state-of-the-art research facilities, an endowed faculty chair position, and scholarships for students based on merit. As per the R System, this project highlights its strategic objective to advance deep tech, foster creativity, and improve modern skills.
It is anticipated that the work produced by this CoE will improve R Systems” and IIT Delhi”s capacity for research and development. Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, underlined the importance of this partnership and the crucial role that new technologies play in laying the groundwork for future studies aimed at creating a sustainable future.
Highlighting the importance of sustainable computing and systems Prof. Banergee said, “Our collaboration with R Systems will result in the development of innovative approaches and cutting-edge AI techniques for sustainable computing”. Reportedly, this alliance and strategic investment represent a major turning point that will accelerate cutting-edge AI research and innovation.
Mr. Nitesh Bansal, CEO and Managing Director of R Systems International Limited while talking about the growing presence and impact of AI and Generative AI emphasised the right and responsible use of the technology. He added further, “This collaboration between R Systems and IIT Delhi will facilitate the industry-academia partnership aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical research and practical application of AI solutions”.
