Snapchat Introduces New AI And AR Features In Its Snap Partner Summit 2024.

Since everyone is on the road to keep pace in the AI race Snapchat unveiled a series of artificial intelligence (AI) features along with augmented reality (AR) at the sixth edition of its Snap Partner Summit 2024 held on September 27. It was said that the app with over 850 million users around the globe which includes teenage groups to middle age groups is planning to expand its focus on AI tools and AR features.

The app introduced its simplified version kick-starting the 2024 summit which is being tested with a selected group of users. Snapchat intends to revamp the overall features and performances by focusing on core activities like photo-sharing, communication and entertainment which is said to be a part of a broader effort to make the platform more engaging and user friendly.

Snapchat will also roll out a new AI Grandparents Lens to foresee the elderly look of the users which can be a push into artificial intelligence (AI) that will further include intricate tasks like translating a foreign language, identifying unique plants, bizarre names and parking signs.

Snapchat also released a new profile design that will help users switch between personal and public accounts with enhanced tools like photo/video replies, customisable templates and many more. Additionally, the app has introduced Easy Lens for selected users which would help them to create AR Lenses in the spur of the moment with a chat interface equipped with large language models.

As per the app, Snapchat is set to roll out the GenAI Suite in Lens Studio which would further introduce animation tools like blending, body morph and text to animation which focuses on more AR creation accessibilities. To unwrap the summit, Snapchat has released the new LIP Syncing Lens which features an exclusive collaboration with the renowned rapper Eminem. Users can enjoy thousands of tracks.
