Good news for Indian travellers.

Thailand has announced a 60-day visa-free stay for Indian passport holders. Travellers can also apply for a further 30-day extension under the new rules.

Under the updated policy, Indian tourists can enter Thailand without a visa for tourism, short-term business, or leisure travel and stay for up to 60 days.

The Royal Thai Embassy confirmed that Indian nationals are eligible for the visa exemption until further notice.

However, travellers must carry:

  • Proof of accommodation for the entire stay

  • A completed Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), to be filled at least three days before travel

  • A confirmed return flight ticket

Thailand has made the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) mandatory for all arrivals. The online system replaces the earlier paper-based process and is aimed at making immigration smoother and faster.

Thailand has also introduced new visa categories in recent months, including options for remote workers, digital nomads and students.

The government has simplified visa categories, expanded e-visa services worldwide and reduced the number of non-immigrant visa types to make the process easier for travellers.

Indian travel to Thailand has strongly recovered after the pandemic. Visitor numbers crossed 2 million in 2025, making India one of Thailand’s key tourism markets.

Officials have welcomed the increase in Indian tourists but have also warned against the misuse of extended stays.
