The Indian army on early Wednesday launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack. The attacks were carried out at 1:44 am, reportedly targeting terrorist infrastructure at nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The army has described the operation as “focused, measured, and non-escalatory”, stating that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted. In the immediate aftermath of the strike, Pakistan labelled the attack as an act of war and vowed a strong retaliation.

Pakistan has reported 8 civilian deaths, including a three-year-old, and 30 injured, alleging India’s strike has hit civilian areas, including a mosque in Muzaffarabad.
In response to this attack, Pakistan claims that they have shot down five Indian aircraft and one drone. They further alleged that the Indian army has hoisted a white flag at the Chura complex on the LoC. India is yet to address the allegation.
