Independent journalist Sam Husseini was dragged out of the outgoing US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s final press conference on Thursday for interrupting him to question the role of the Joe Biden administration in the Gaza war.

Blinken faced strong criticism from journalists who slammed the Joe Biden administration’s foreign policy on the Israel-Hamas war, that lasted for 15-months and has killed over 46,000 Palestinians. 18,000 among the killed were reported to be children. Reports also suggest that the actual number of deaths is much higher than what was recorded.

“Criminal! You belong in The Hague,” shouted Husseini, referring to The Hague, where the International Criminal Court is located. Security personnel forcibly picked him up and carried him out of the room.

Husseini wasn’t the only one. Several journalists, including Max Blumenthal, questioned Blinken as he defended outgoing US President Joe Biden’s handling of Israel’s 15-month war with Hamas.

Blumenthal, Editor of the Grayzone, called the Gaza crisis the “holocaust of our times.” He also asked, “Why did you keep the bombs flowing when we had a deal in May?… Why did you allow my friends to be massacred?… you helped destroy our religion of Judaism by associating it with fascism.”

He was also escorted shortly after. Blumenthal took to X and shared a video of him questioning Blinken. The caption read, “My final words for Tony Blinken, Secretary of Genocide, and his smirking press secretary, Matt Miller.”
