Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh has been assassinated in Tehran. How? The question was looming above in West Asia for the past two days. It was strongly and widely believed that the attack was a handiwork of Israel.
New York Times says that the bomb had been hidden approximately two months ago in the guesthouse, in which Haniyeh was staying. The report said that the guest house was run and protected by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Though Israel has adopted a ‘no comment’ policy, Israeli officials briefed US and other Western governments on the details of the operation, the Middle Eastern officials told New York Times.
