Bahrain Riot: Saudi-Led Peninsula Force Arrives To Suppress Pro-Iranian Protesters, Clashes Continue
Manama, Bahrain: Riots and clashes broke out in Bahrain between pro-Iran protesters and security forces loyal to the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain. The demonstrators are calling for alignment with Iran and the expulsion of US forces at the US Fifth Fleet base from the country as the US-Israeli offensives against Iran continues.
As clashes erupted across the country with protesters throwing Molotov cocktails at police and security forces loyal to the ruling regime, anti-riot police mobilized in response. Notably, several X posts have claimed that Peninsula Shield Forces from the Gulf Cooperation Council, led by Saudi Arabia, entered Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway and deployed on the streets to suppress the protest.

The Shia-majority gulf nation is in revolution against the ruling regime, which supports US forces presence in Bahrain. Several people on X questioned the western media for not covering the revolutionary riots against the regime that does not represent the population in Bahrain. The Saudi ground forces entry to Bahrain to crush the uprising, as during the 2011 Bahrain uprising, has been closely observed by political analysts..
An X user, Max Blumenthal wrote, “Forces of the Saudi family dictatorship that beheaded Nimr Al-Nimr have entered Bahrain to crush another popular uprising against the hated Al-Khalifa family Where are all the Western liberals who cheered on violent rioters in Iran this January? Where is Western media?”
