Tyson Fury, British professional boxer, current WBC weightlift champion will take of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 28.

Francis Ngannou, holder of the record for the ‘world hardest punch’ will meet Fury who have returned back to the ring for the first time since December.

The hight anticipated fight will take place in Riyadh as a part of Riyadh season, the annual entertainment and sports festival. Fury hasn’t trained in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) much , but he do have some training to speak of. While Francis is so confident in his MMA skills and believes he could take off Fury in the ring.

Earlier in the press conference on Thursday, Fury said: I’d like to fight Ngannou in the cage, I think I could beat him, for sure. He”s not a good jiu-jitsu man, he”s not a good wrestler, he”s known for striking, and I”m a better striker than him! With the little gloves, I”d knock him out in seconds… Doing a little bit of kicking and blocking. I”ll elbow him in the teeth, do all that. Did any of you guys see me training with Darren Till? Just smacking the pads, bang, bang! Elbows!”

Defeat to a MMA fighter would be seen as a humiliation to the current WBC champion.

“If I lose to a No. 1 contender or another champion, then people would say, “oh, he lost to another champion.” But if I lost to an MMA guy, I”m never going to be able to show my face in public again. “, he added.

The fight is going to be a convergence of two sports and two different skill-sets and will adhere to the official rules of professional boxing, complete with three judges at ringside and the infamous 10-point must system.

Opponent Ngannou will make his boxing debut, after trading the octagon for the ring on the fight day. With a career spanning almost 14 years, Fury remains undefeated having fought 34 times. The two heavyweight champions will take to the boxing ring for a historic clash.
