Dubai's Popular Tourist Spot Global Village To Pause For Summer

Global Village has become a prime tourist spot in Dubai. Any tourist who wishes to travel to the UAE never misses a chance to be part of the world-famous carnival. The sprawling complex is famously packed full of tastes and sights from around the world. However, as the temperature soars in Dubai, the authorities have decided to close down many of the city’s most popular open-air attractions temporarily, and Global Village is one among them. The reopening is scheduled around September or October.

Global Village’s 29th season would officially close on May 11, 2025. The prime tourist attraction in Dubai was reopened on October 16th, 2024, showcasing over 90 cultures and has even introduced new pavilions this season, including Jordan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The visitors could enjoy over 175 rides, games, and attractions along with more than 250 dining options. The multicultural destination is open daily from 4 pm and closes at midnight during weekdays and extends the closure time to 1 am from Thursday to Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Global Village has decided to host a Taylor Swift tribute concert, promising an evening filled with the superstar’s most iconic anthems. And the one who is stepping into the spotlight is Kaylie Malone, a renowned tribute artist celebrated for her uncanny ability to capture Taylor’s stage presence and vocal style. Moreover, this fan-favourite setlist, like “Love Story,” “Cruel Summer,” and more, will be a perfect soundtrack to be enjoyed at the Global Village Main Gate.

Apart from Global Village, four other main open tourist spots in Dubai will also be closed temporarily during this summer. The world-famous Dubai Fountain at Dubai Mall, at the footstep of Burj Khalifa, will have its final performance on April 19. Dubai Miracle Garden will also be closed for a temporary period; however, the closure date is yet to be announced.
