As Israel – Hamas war continues even after 39 days, spread of fake news and misinformation is still rampant and causing alarm. Currently, a video footage recounting a frightening testimony of a nurse who is speaking from Gaza”s Al Shifa hospital is doing the rounds on social media.

In the viral video, she says that entire world should know what militant group Hamas is doing at Al Shifa; “they are taking over the entire hospital,” she claims. Continuing further, she says, “they are taking over the fuel and the medicine. I have nothing to treat with.” She cries and tells how she had to fix a five-year-old”s fracture without morphine medicine. The video has gathered over 11 million views on social media, and still circulating online.

Meanwhile, several doctors and nurses from Al Shifa Hospital states that they don”t know her. They ascertains that they never seen her at the hospital and has never worked here before. Younis Tirawi, a Reporter on Palestinian Affairs disclosed the reality behind the video, and came across with these facts. Mr Tirawi spoke with the medical practitioners at the said hospital, and revealed that her claims are false, and she was not associated with hospital under any capacity.

Taking to social media platform X, Mr Tirawi debunked the statements mentioned in the video. He says that a senior physician called Dr. Jirjawi, told him: “Even the stethoscope looks fake.” He also adds that a nurse who works at the ICU & orthopedic asked: “I have been working here for years, who is she?”

Besides reporter also states that her dialect is not remotely resemble to a Gazan dialect.

Fact checkers on X platform have also debunked the video and said she is a professional actress who has nothing to do with Al Shifa hospital in Gaza
