
Gaza Hospital Chief Marwan al-Sultan, Family Killed In Israeli Strike
Marwan al-Sultan, the director of the Indonesian Hospital, was killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza City. The attack reportedly took place on a residential building southwest of Gaza City, killing his entire family.
As per the Healthcare Workers Watch (HWW), Dr Marwan al-Sultan, a renowned and highly acclaimed cardiologist, is the 70th healthcare worker killed by Israeli air strikes in the last 50 days.
Dr Sultan was the director of the Indonesian Hospital, declared out of service by the Gaza health ministry after the UN later described it as ‘repeated Israeli attacks and sustained structural damage’.

While Israel argues that it was fighting ‘terrorist infrastructure sites’ in the area.
Gaza health ministry said that Dr Sultan’s career was one of compassion, “during which he was a symbol of dedication, steadfastness and sincerity during the most difficult circumstances and most trying moments experienced by our people under continuous aggression”.
Earlier this month, Dr al-Sultan spoke with the press about the critical circumstances faced by the staff at the Indonesian hospital as they struggled to cope with the number of civilian casualties after the escalation of Israeli occupation’s attacks in May.
UN says that there are no functioning hospitals left in the North Gaza governorate.

Israeli forces have killed over 100 Palestinians in the past 24 hours in Gaza.
Reportedly, Indonesia has condemn the Israeli airstrike killing Dr Marwan and his family urging an immediate ceasefire. The Indonesian Hospital is funded by Indonesian charities, and is Gaza’s largest medical facility and lifeline for Palestinians since the war began in October 2023.
