Jeremy Corbyn Questions Rishi Sunak On Refusing To Call For Ceasefire

Jeremy Corbyn, senior leader of the British labour Party, questioned United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about his stance on the genocide of Palestinians. Mr. Corbyn said human beings in Gaza is being killed in every passing minute and why does the Prime Minister instructed “our representative at the UN not to support ceasefire?”.

In the Parliament, he said the killings that took place on the October 7th were “appalling” and should be “totally condemned” as everyone in the Parliament has done. By reminding about the loss of 5000 Palestinians and the “situation is continuing to get worse”, Mr. Corbyn questioned the Prime Minister of United Kingdom about why he “instructed Britain’s representatives at the UN not to support” the humanitarian pause to allow aid to flow towards the trapped civilians of Gaza. He also added that “the only way forward is the end to the occupation” and the “recognition of the rights of the people of Palestine”.

From day one of the escalation of the Israel Palestine war, Jeremy Corbyn has been vocalising the million-dollar question of “who are paying the price for a crime they did not commit” and has asseverated that “the only way to achieve peace is to end the occupation”.

Mr. Corbyn constantly raised the question of “how many innocent Palestinian lives should be erased in the name of self-defence?”. He questioned the politicians about the reason behind their inability to “defend international law universally and equally?”.

He criticised the political leaders about the lack of “either courage or the humanity” to point their fingers at the Israeli government and hold them accountable.

Raising questions at the hypocrisy of the world leaders he said that “there are more trucks delivering food to supermarkets on a single road” in his constituency than there are aid provided to the “2.2 million people in Gaza”.

While this has been the senior leader of Labour Party’s stance, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has been the voice of Israel in the face of the world, accentuating the rights of Israel to defend itself against “Hamas terrorists”.

The bloody war has claimed the lives of 5,791 Palestinians and 1,400 Israeli so far since October 7.  Israel has been showering bombs on the Gaza Strip left right and centre and has wiped out neighbourhoods into ashes with the constant bombing campaign.
