'Global Symbol Of Resistance Against US': Indian Delegate Pandit Sharma's Remark On Ali Khamenei Surfaces Amid Funeral

Tehran, Iran: Among the Indian delegation travelling to Iran for late supreme leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei’s funeral is religious speaker Pandit Vijay Kumar Sharma, who is known for speaking outrightly against the US during the recent Quds day speech. The funeral ceremonies of the late Iranian Supreme Leader are underway as per schedule from July 4 to 9. The event is being held in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.

Talking about his decision to travel to Iran, the Pandit from Uttar Pradesh’ Prayagraj said Hussainiyat means standing with the oppressed. A video of Pandit Sharma has now resurfaced online, in which he is seen calling the late Supreme Leader a global symbol of resistance against American influence.

During his speech, Sharma argued that many across the globe had long been “waiting for someone to put the USA on its knees.” He further lauded Iran and its leadership for directly challenging American and Israeli influence in the region.  The speech had gone viral on social media platforms, sparking intense debate about geopolitics and global politics.

While setting out on his journey to Iran to participate in Ali Khamenei’s funeral, Sharma said his attendance was driven by his philosophy of following leaders who stand for the “oppressed and the poor.”
