During the joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh, the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman has once again “strongly condemned” and “categorically rejected the ongoing conflict”. He made the remarks while chairing the summit. During his talk, Mr. Salman stressed on the need for the cessation of the brutal genocide that is happening in Palestine and suggested the humanitarian corridor as the only solution for ending the war.
During his speech he added that, the world is now “witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe that highlights the failure of the Security Council” and called out that it is a failure of the international community to put an end to the Israeli violations.
He said, “it violates the international laws, norms, and humanitarian law, demonstration double standards and selectivity in their application” and called out for a “coordinated collective efforts to address this unfortunate situation” as it “threatens the global security and stability,” as quoted by Saudi Gazzette.
He also pronounced the necessity of working together to lift the blockade by providing aids and medical supplies for the sick and injured in the besieged Gaza Strip. He said Saudi Arabia “unequivocally rejects the ongoing aggression and forced displacement of Gaza residents. We hold the occupying authorities accountable for the crimes against the Palestinian people”.
Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman said that “the only path to achieve security, peace and stability in the region is by ending the occupation, siege and settlement, ensuring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital”. Mr. Salman has been making the same comment about the “solution” to end the ongoing brutal and bloody genocide on the innocent civilians of Palestine.
Earlier, the Crown Prince has called for stopping the forced displacement of Palestinians, while talking at the Saudi-African summit. On the side-lines of Saudi-African Summit on November 10, the Crown Prince met Amir of the State of Qatar and discussed bilateral relations, the developments in Gaza, and means to support security and stability in the region. Meeting of both the leaders of both the West Asian countries is significant since Qatar is actively participating in the negotiations and Saudi Arabia has been in the forefront of the normalisation (of relationship with Israel) process ahead of the recent escalation in the region.
