“Continued Violation Of Humanitarian Laws By Israel,” Says Saudi Crown Prince, Joint Arab Extraordinary Summit Today

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman condemned Israeli violations in Gaza and called for to stop the war and halt the forced displacement of Palestinians. The Crown Prince was speaking at the Saudi-African Summit. He has also talked about creating conditions for the return of stability and peace in the region. Meanwhile, in response to the unprecedented circumstances in Gaza, after the consultation of Saudi Arabia with the League of the Arab States and the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC), it was decided to hold a “Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit” in an exceptional manner on November 11, 2023.

On the side-lines of Saudi-African Summit on November 10, the Crown Prince met Amir of the State of Qatar and discussed bilateral relations, the developments in Gaza, and means to support security and stability in the region. Meeting of both the leaders of the West Asian countries is significant since Qatar is actively participating in the negotiations and Saudi Arabia has been in the forefront of the normalisation (of relationship with Israel) process ahead of the recent escalation in the region.

“We condemn the military aggression witnessed in Gaza Strip, the targeting of civilians, and the continued violation of international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupying authority. We stress the need to stop this war and forced displacement, as well as to create conditions for the return of stability and for achieving peace,” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said in his speech.

Saudi Arabia has recently sent a plane carrying food, supplies and equipment to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The humanitarian help was carried out by the King Salman Humanitarian Center. Saudi Arabia-based media house Saudi Gazette has reported that first relief plane that touched down in Egypt was loaded with 35 tons of vital aid for the Palestinians.
