'Dhamaaka World Cup' To Light Up Indian Expats' Football Mania In Jeddah
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: As football fans are riding high on the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, the Indian expatriate community in Jeddah is set to enjoy an extra football feast with the Dhamaaka World Cup 2K26, scheduled for June 18 and 19 at the Olympic Village Stadium.
Organized by NISS Arabia with official approval from the Saudi Sports Authority, the tournament will feature exciting 9-a-side matches for football lovers in the city.

Six teams will compete in a league format. The participating sides are Black Red FC, Arab Dreams FC, Champs FC, Ban Bakery FC, Seven Star FC from Jeddah, and Reem Al Ula FC from Yanbu. Each team will play two matches in the league stage.
Match Schedule:• June 18: Four league matches from 9:30 PM to 2:00 AM• June 19: Two league matches starting at 8:00 PM, followed by a special friendly match for children under 17, the grand final, and prize distribution ceremony.

Each match will consist of two 25-minute halves with a five-minute halftime break. The under-17 friendly match between Talent Teens (SIFF finalists) and the International Indian School, Jeddah team will feature two 20-minute halves with a five-minute interval.
Experienced referees licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Sport will officiate all matches, including the under-17 game. A 30-member organizing committee made up of seasoned football professionals has been formed to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

The official fixture release, trophy unveiling, and team jersey display were held on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, NISS Arabia CEO Dr. Indu Chandrasekharan said the tournament aims to discover sporting talent within the Indian community and promote a healthy sports culture among the expatriate youth.
Managing Director Naushad Chattalloor added that the organizers are committed to delivering a high-standard tournament that the Indian community can be proud of, with top-quality matches, strong security, and professional management.
