Saudi Arabia Bans Gas Cylinders Entry And Use At Hajj Pilgrim Housing Sites

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia has officially banned the entry and use of liquefied gas cylinders of all sizes at pilgrim hospitality centres. The ban, announced on Monday, May 18, also expands to government facilities within the holy sites during the Hajj season.

Monday was the  first day of Dhu Al Hijjah, corresponding to May 18, as part of wider preventive measures aimed at reducing fire accidents during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
