Israel Defense Forces claims several Hamas structures have been struck and “multiple terrorists were eliminated”. Since Friday night, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have started to seep in to the territory of Gaza Strip, and claimed to locate Hamas resistance group’s installations and destruction of their missile tanks. The limited ground incursions executed predominantly during night is alleged to be aligned with advice from US.

The IDF claimed to kill number of armed Palestinian men who came from underground tunnel and tried to infiltrate Erez crossing, which is an occupied territory by the Israel. The IDF has also claimed that they had struck several observation posts of Hamas.

Hamas has also claimed they have launched missiles at Tel Aviv. Local media has reported about “heavy fighting” between the Hamas resistance group and IDF.

The Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant told the families of the hostages taken by Hamas that the ground assault on the Gaza Strip also aims at bringing back the hostages. “I have two goals: to return the abductees and win the war”, said Mr. Gallant, as quoted by Al Jazeera.

The IDF constantly said the Hamas is hiding under the hospitals and schools in the Gaza Strip by using civilians as their human shield. As per reports, areas near the biggest hospital in the Gaza, Al Shifa hospital and the roads leading to the hospital were bombed. Al Quds hospital was asked to evacuate “immediately” claiming the presence of Hamas resistance group.
