Israel continue its carnage in Palestine. The Occupation Force hit yet another United Nations-run school where thousands were sheltering. Reportedly, the school was attacked when people were waiting for food. Six UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) staff were killed in the al-Jaouni school attack, said the agency. Over 34 people were killed in total.
The agency said the school, situated in central Nusairat refugee camp, was hit at least five times since the war started. It said this was the highest death toll among staffers in a single incident. In a post on X, UNRWA said, “Among those killed was the manager of the UNRWA shelter and other team members providing assistance to displaced people.”
The attack came a day after Israel attacked Al Mawasi refugee camp, another humanitarian centre, and killed at least 40 Palestinians.

Israel said it were targeting Hamas command centre, a statement the occupation force had been parroting without providing evidence since the beginning of the war.
According to a survey conducted July by the Education Cluster, a collection of aid groups led by UNICEF and Save the Children, the attacks on UN schools are part of a broader pattern where over 90 per cent of Gaza’s school buildings have been damaged due to ongoing military actions and that more than half of the schools currently housing displaced persons have also been targeted. Israel also attacked Gaza City killing at least 12 people.
A Palestinian woman lost all of her six children including tow infant twins during the al-Jaouni school attack. “Are these children terrorists? May God punish them. The Israelis destroyed our home; killed and starved our people; women are widowed and children orphaned. Six children, including a baby twin. What crime, what wrong did those innocent children do?”, the woman told Al Jazeera.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned Israel’s strike on the al-Jaouni school in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp, calling it a “horrific massacre”.
In a statement released, the ministry called on the international community to provide Palestinians international protection and stop the “war of extermination and displacement against our people”.
The ministry also called for UNRWA employees and other humanitarian workers to be protected from “the brutality of the occupation”.
