Israeli Forces Kill 3 Palestinian Men In West Bank Hospital Including Hamas Member: Report

Footage has emerged on social media showing the moments Israeli Defence Force infiltrated Gaza’s Ibn Sina hospital in Jenin city, killing three Palestinian men claiming them to be members of “Hamas terrorist cell”. The footage showed Israeli agents disguised as doctors, nurses, and civilians carrying guns as they search the hospital.

Writing in their Telegram, Israeli occupation force said one among the killed “had recently been involved in promoting significant terrorist activity and was hiding” in the hospital. It said two brothers were also killed, among which one was alleged to be a member of Jenin Battalion and was involved in numerous terror attacks. The Telegram post said, the second brother was a member of Islamic Jihad and was also “involved in terror activities in the area”.

The post read, “For a long time, wanted suspects have been hiding in hospitals and using them as a base for planning terrorist activities and carrying out terror attacks, while they assume that the exploitation of hospitals will serve as protection against counterterrorism activities of Israeli security forces,”.

As per Al Jazeera correspondent from East Jerusalem, Israeli undercover special forces unit went into the Ibn Sina hospital in the West Jenin, dressed as doctors, nurses and even civilians. The unit was said to be comprised of Israeli police and army personnel.

According to the report, the three Palestinian men were killed while they were sleeping, and no attempt of arrest was found. One among the killed was undergoing treatment in the hospital for about three months, as he was injured by the Israeli army. According to Al Jazeera Arabic’s reporter, one among the killed was connected to the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.

Israeli border police said one of the killed was Hamas member, who, it said, planned an “attack inspired by the October 7th massacre”, said Reuters.

Responding to the killing, Hamas, the resistance group of Gaza, said the Israeli army’s “crimes will not go unanswered”. It said the killings are a “continuation of the occupation’s ongoing crimes against our people from Gaza to Jenin”, and highlighted that one among the killed men was injured and in bed when he was killed.

Hamas confirmed that one among the three was its member, and another was member of Jenin Battalion. The third was also a Palestinian fighter. The resistance group of Gaza said that Palestinian fighters “will not be intimidated by assassinations or weakened by the crimes of the cowardly enemy”, as quoted by Al Jazeera.

The three Palestinian men killed were identified as Mohammed and Basir Ghizawi, and Mohammed Jalamneh.
