Qatar Airways Cargo, one of the world”s leading international air cargo carriers, celebrated its 20th anniversary of operations on Monday. The company has achieved significant milestones since commencing operations with its first freighter in 2003.
Qatar Airways Cargo began regular operations to Amsterdam and Chennai, and shortly thereafter added New Delhi to its destination charts. Currently, the airline flies more than 160 belly-hold, 200 passenger aircraft, and 31 dedicated cargo freighters to over 70 destinations.

With the recently adopted next-generation strategy, the airline has achieved many milestones, including the first airline globally to complete the suite of IATA CEIV certifications,the launch of the Kigali Africa hub in partnership with RwandAir and the introduction of innovative products like Pharma, Fresh, Courier, and SecureLift

Having embraced digital transformation early, it has successfully launched its new website and a state-of-the-art e-booking portal, Digital Lounge, and partnered with marketplace platforms, bringing added value to its customers. Additionally, Qatar Airways Cargo has committed to sustainability through its WeQare program, championing initiatives such as ‘Rewild the planet’ and launching a CO2 emission calculator,” the company said in a press release.
Furthermore, the company remains focused on digitalization and sustainability and aims to resume developing innovative and customer-centric solutions.
