Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Qatar Join Gaza Board Of Peace
Eight nations, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar, have accepted the invitation to join US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace for Gaza.
The ministers of the respective countries have announced that each state will sign the joining documents in accordance with its relevant legal procedures and other necessary measures, including Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE, which had previously announced their acceptance.
The ministers confirmed that their countries’ support for the peace efforts led by Trump and their commitment to support the implementation of the peace council’s mandate as a transitional body, as stipulated in the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza Conflict and endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
The mandate aims to consolidate a permanent ceasefire, support the reconstruction of Gaza, and advance a just and lasting peace grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law, thereby paving the way for security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region.
Notably, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also accepted US President Donald Trump’s invitation to join the Board of Peace, the premier’s office has announced. Sweden and Norway has also joined the board.
Members countries are required to pay a $1 billion fee each to earn permanent membership. US President Donald Trump will chair the board and carries veto power.
