
Sheikh Hamdan Announces Golden Visa To Dubai Nurses (image-pixabay)
Celebrating International Nurse day on Monday, Dubai crown prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed had issued directives to offer golden visa to nurses who had served for 15 years in the country. This decision has come in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the community and their crucial role for the betterment of health services.
Golden visas are 10-year residency permits given to people who made an outstanding contribution to the country.

Sheikh Hamdan commented on their daily dedication to patient care and commitment of the wellbeing of others. This has not been first time that nursing staff in the UAE have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to the field. In 2021, a government directive had announced to grant Golden Visas to frontline workers and their families.
Recently, Dubai had also granted Golden Visas for outstanding private school teachers. The announcement was made from Sheikh Hamdan on the occasion of World Teachers Day on October 5, last year.
Meanwhile, the number of available nurses had increased from 27.9 million in 2018 to 29.8 million in 2023, the world’s population has grown alongside a demand for care.
The UAE had been ranked among the world’s top countries whose investment migration programme offers the best opportunities for the next generation. The nation has been ranked seven with high scores in top-tier employment prospects, earning potential, and economic mobility, according to the Henley Opportunity Index released by Henley and Partners.

With a total opportunity score of 67 per cent, the UAE has been ranked above Austria, New Zealand, Italy, Hong Kong, Latvia, Malta, Hungary, Greece and Portugal.
Among many long-term residency schemes introduces by UAE, golden visa had gained wide popularity since its launch in 2019.
