Washington DC, US: Donald Trump paints America red. He marks historic win in the US Presidential election, and has bagged majority of the popular votes, and swing states with absolute ease. Earlier, while addressing his supporters at Florida, Trump called his victory a movement that nobody has ever seen.

He said “This was a movement like nobody’s ever seen before, and frankly, this was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time. We’re going to help our country heal. Help our country heal”.

Claiming victory in the race, Trump concluded his speech at Florida by mentioning assassination attempt against him during his campaign in Pennsylvania.

He said “many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness, and now we are going to fulfil that mission”.

He said nothing will stop him form keeping his words to the people of America, and will make the country “strong, prosperous, powerful, and free again”.

“America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than it has ever been before. God bless you and God bless America”,

Trump becomes the only president to be impeached twice and the first former president to be criminally convicted.

The Republican launched a heavy and lengthy praise of tech-giant Elon Musk. “He sent the rocket up two weeks ago, and I saw that rocket. I saw it coming down. I saw it. It was when it left. It was beautiful, shiny white, when it came down. It didn’t look so pretty”, said Trump.

Trump also marks history by becoming the first President to serve two-non-consecutive terms over the period of  a century.

Before Trump, the record was held by former President Grover Cleveland, who is a Democrat. He served White House from 1885-1889 and from 1893-1897.

Cleveland’s return to office in 1892 was driven by his reputation for reform and integrity, in contrast with his successor, President Benjamin Harrison, whose faced criticism over economic management. The public’s dissatisfaction with Harrison paved path for Cleveland’s comeback, showcasing the enduring impact of public trust on political trajectories.

However, things are not the same in Trump’s case. Social media and 24/7 news channels have played big in shaping the public opinion. The Republican managed to keep an active presence in the limelight after his lose to Joe Biden in 2020.
