Elon Musk Criticizes Biden’s Immigration Policy, Cites Mother’s Struggle

SpaceX founder, Elon Musk voiced his concern regarding Joe Biden’s immigration policy on Sunday. In a flurry of tweets, he added his criticism to the ongoing debate surrounding the Joe Biden administration’s approach to an alleged border crisis.

His post also included his mother Maye Musk’s challenging experience in obtaining American citizenship. Maye Musk had recently shared her not-so-smooth experience to obtain US citizenship. She in her post shed light on the complexities she had to go through during the legal immigration process.

“I couldn”t get US citizenship even though my father and grandmother were born in Minnesota, and my grandfather, John Elon Haldeman, was born in Illinois. I was born in Canada so it took me 12 years through visas, a green card, a lawyer, and numerous medical tests. That”s how hard it is,” she wrote on X.

Responding to the post of Musk’s mother, the Teslo CEO wrote, “Biden’s strategy is very simple: 1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority – a one-party state.”

He further asked, “What’s the point of being a citizen if an illegal gets all the benefits, but doesn’t pay taxes or do jury duty?”

Musk and his mother have been vocal critics of the US president’s immigration policy. He even has alleged that Joe Biden is intentionally allowing a surge of undocumented migrants into the country to manipulate the political landscape.

Though he has expressed his view regarding illegal migration, Musk said that he fully supports legal migration pathways. “As a reminder, I am very much PRO increasing legal immigration significantly,” he clarified. “I’m not anti-immigration, I’m just against a massive number of unvetted people flooding into America, which any rational person should be.” In recent months, he has posted a video of him visiting the borders in a live event broadcast on X.

AFP has reported that US senators on Sunday released a $20.2 billion legislation for border security and immigration policy changes which was agreed by the Democratic and Republican negotiators. And thus the new law will give the President the power to reject asylum seekers if illegal border crossing reaches over 5,000 per week.
