Malaysia mourns the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, and condemned his assassination. Calling the leader a fighter and defender of the Palestinian people, President Anwar Ibrahim said Sinwar was “brutally murdered by the barbaric Zionist regime”.
He called the failure of international community for its failure in ensuring peace and justice, and “thus worsening the conflict situation”.
Taking to his X, he said it was clear that the “regime’s attempt to undermine the demand for release would not succeed”.
“As a result, Malaysia insists that Israel’s barbarity be contradicted by the international community and that the ongoing massacre of Palestinians must be stopped immediately”, he further added.
Malaysia berduka atas kehilangan seorang sosok pejuang dan pembela rakyat Palestin, Al Syahid Yahya Sinwar yang dibunuh ganas oleh rejim biadab Zionis.

Yahya Sinwar was assassinated while he was battling the against the Israeli occupation force in southern Gaza.
Israeli military has said that the assassination was not based on any intelligence information, but an accidental clash.
Palestinians mourned the death of their leader. As per Israeli report, they had to fire gun, missile, and bomb the entire building to ensure that he was indeed killed.
A drone footage released by the occupation force showed Sinwar, who already lost his one arm, and was at his last breath, throwing a stick at the occupation force’s drone.
Though Israel released the video in a celebratory mode. It backfired. The final image of Sinwar has gone viral, with Palestine supporters making it an icon of resistance.
Sinwar’s death also debunked Israel’s usual claims of Hamas leader hiding in tunnels, and using Palestinians as human shield. While dying Sinwar was on full combat mode with protective wests and guns. He was alone and was fighting on the ground.
