Modi, Trump Review Progress In India–US Strategic Partnership
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke over the phone with US President Donald Trump on Thursday. The duo went over how things are going with India–US ties, checking updates on their global strategic partnership. They also looked into options to boost teamwork in major areas – talking through fresh steps forward.
The PMO said Mr Modi and President Trump were happy about how ties between their nations are getting stronger. They talked about many topics – trade, energy, new tech, defence, security – not just one or two, but several key parts driving closer India-US links.
Each leader, according to a statement from India PMO, stressed keeping up progress to grow trade between them while tapping fresh ways to boost the economy. Lately, they pinpointed a few methods that could encourage investing, simplify rules, also safeguard ideas – all aimed at building stronger, more flexible supply networks.
In talking, the leaders shared thoughts on boosting teamwork through the India–US COMPACT setup – using paths like military ties, faster trade, or tech links. The effort focuses on strengthening work together in advanced defence gear, outer space ventures, green power solutions, while tackling online safety issues instead of just listing goals. People close to the talks called it a way to align strategies ahead of time – not flashy terms – for real-world problems across the Indo-Pacific region along with digital market shifts.
Mr Modi along with President Trump talked more about what’s happening across regions and around the world, stressing how crucial it is to team up on urgent global matters. Things like safety issues in the Indo-Pacific area came up, alongside attempts to boost the worldwide economy. They also touched on why nations must keep joining forces when dealing with problems that cross borders – terrorism being one example, climate shifts another.
The PMO said each leader stressed working together based on common beliefs in democracy, along with deep-rooted personal links shaping their countries’ bond.
Mr Modi pointed out how Indians abroad help boost cultural sharing and business growth across America, adding that such bonds act like a link – fueled by trust and fresh ideas – tying both places closer.
Potentially, Trump thanked India for helping keep things steady and growing nearby. Still, he repeated that his team backs efforts boosting shared success and safety.
When the two leaders looked at how current efforts were going, they decided to stay in touch while moving forward together on matters they both care about. According to the PMO update, each side will keep collaborating closely to tackle mutual problems and push joint goals further in the coming years.
