President Joe Biden’s fallout from the debate session has created turmoil among the Democrats as many have come forward demanding the President to step down as the party’s presumptive nominee.
Rep Angie Craig on Saturday became the fifth Democrat in Congress to demand Biden to drop out of the race publicly. He had said, “there is only a small left to make sure we have a candidate best equipped to make the case and win”.

However, President Biden, in both words and actions, has made it clear that he has no intention of quickly leaving the race.
13 members of Democrats had expressed concern about him continuing, according to the Washington tally.
In response to the demands, President Joe Biden dismissed all the calls to end his re-election bid and denied that his debate performance wrought significant damage to his campaign.
He on Friday also refused to an independent medical examination to reassure the public of his medical fitness. President Biden insisted he has the stamina to serve another four years.
In the interview, he did not accept that he was trailing behind Trump and said he has not directly heard discussions from the senior Democrats about asking him to step aside and declared that only the ‘Lord Almighty’ would prompt him even to consider ending his bid.
Former Vermont governor Peter Shumlin, a Democrat who endorsed Biden fairly enough in the 2020 primary, said the struggles of the past week made it imperative that Biden drop out of the race. During an interview, he said, “With him, we lose. With the courage to pass the torch, we win”.
