Amid the growing controversy, an old video of the Tesla CEO’s father, Errol Musk, discussing the Nazi’s connection to Elon’s family, surfaced online.

In an interview with MacG youtube channel, Errol Musk was seen discussing the connection of Elon’s maternal grandparents with Hitler and the Nazi Party. He said that Maye’s (Elon Musk’s mother) parents were very fanatical in favour of Apartheid.

The tweet along the video reads, “Here’s Elon’s father casually saying Elon’s maternal grandparents were in the Nazi party in Canada, supported Hitler, and moved to South Africa because they strongly admired the Apartheid regime.”

This video made netizens to question whether the act of the Tesla CEO at the inauguration parade was intentional. One commented, “You can take the boy out of South Africa, but you can’t take Apartheid out of the boy.”

Along with this, an article “Elon Musk’s Anti-Semitic, Apartheid-Loving Grandfather” is also caught the attention of the netizens. One user commented, “It’s true according to this…his grandfather apparently wrote a manifesto explaining his beliefs.”

But other netizens also felt no relevance between grandfathers beliefs and Elon Musk’s. One comment reads, “My great grandfather was a Holocaust denier, it doesn’t mean I am 🙄”
