Social media posts claim that the members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, a group that was frequently associated with international criminal activities, are heading to Aurora, Colorado. The alleged move is to confront the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua. However, the rumour remains unconfirmed by officials.

The rumours started coming up after footage surfaced, which was believed to be of members of Venezuelan-born gang Tren de Aragua, taking over an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado. The local law enforcement formed task force to take the miscreants down.

Images, which was believed to be from the site, showed a group of hooded individuals wielding rifles and pistols, pounding on doors. They were seen entering different apartments, while one was speaking on phone.

The gang is notorious for its involvement in drug trafficking, extortion, and violent crimes, both in Venezuela and in other countries where the gang’s members have migrated to.

Local enforcement in the region has been actively monitoring the situation, increasing the patrolling activities, and striving to curb the gang’s influence in the community.

Shortly after the apartment complex video was out, social media platforms like X and Tik Tok was filled with videos and images that suggested the Hells Angels were preparing to take actions against the Tren de Aragua gang.

Hashtags like #HellsAngels and #AuroraColorado quickly started to trend on the platforms, as users started sharing videos which allegedly showed Hells Angels members heading toward the city.

The content circulating which was supporting the claim faced intense scrutiny of the social media platforms. Several X and Tik Tok users asserted that the videos are authentic, while some others pointed out faults in the videos, like indications such as the footage was filmed on foreign highways, questionable sources of the footage, and the reuse of old or unrelated content, said media report.

Below one such shared video on X, added fact-checked details, and said that, “the video does not show Hells Angels riding to Aurora, Colorado, to fight against Venezuelan gang members. They are Brazilian bikers being escorted by the Sao Paulo State Highway Police”.

No official confirmations were provided by the law enforcement agencies or Hells Angels. The gang’s official website remains silent on the issue.

The Hells Angels is also a controversial gang in the history. While the gang depicts itself as a symbol of freedom and brotherhood, law enforcement agencies like FBI and DOJ, have repeatedly attributed the Hells Angels to organized crime across the world.

In June this year, multiple Hells Angels members were arrested in Bakersfield, California. They were charged with kidnapping, first-degree robbery, criminal conspiracy, and assault with a firearm, among other crimes.
