Edited by Aishwarya Krishnan

The Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer action flick Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has hit the theatres and social media has something to say about it. Based on the reviews pouring on X (formerly known as Twitter), the film is receiving mixed responses.

Directed and written by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is being praised as an “action packed extravaganza” while others are labelling it as simply “disastrous.” Let’s have a look at all the praises and the complaints the film is receiving.

An X user gave the film a 3.5 rating out of 5, adding that “The movie is entertaining with pretty much only action and comedy. Really no room for anything else, drama, emotions, romance, etc. The first half is great, second half dips but still fun.”

On the other hand, another user called Mr. Khiladi’s film “unbearable.” “Even Salman Khan starrer KBKkJ (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan) seems Sholay in front of this Garbage. The duo of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff is trying very hard to match OG Bade Miyan Chote Miyan but fails at the same time.”

Another user called Serial Binger calls it a one-time watch that is “overloaded with masala.” It seems that people really liked the villain avatar of Prithviraj, whose Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) is creating records for the Malayalam film industry. The user listed out the highlights of the film which were “Prithviraj’s performance, Character Design, Humor, VFX and scale, SciFi Elements, Some Action.”

Box Office Worldwide has called the action film as a “A disastrous blend of stale humour, pathetic performances and forgettable action; a stale samosa greasy and flavourless!” Ouch!

Another user called Navneet Mundhra says, “The opening response to BADE MIYAN CHOTE MIYAN is DISASTROUS.. . There’s no other way to put it. If #BMCMTrailer was so liked, what has happened? Why such abysmal opening response? And now wait for paid reviews on social media even as film falters..”

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan features Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar and Alaya F. The film is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshika Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar.
