With the brand-new e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to launch in the electric car market. The firm has issued a new teaser ahead of its formal introduction at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17. The latest teaser offers a sneak peek at the cabin and highlights important design features. This is what we currently know.
A brand-new Heartect-e platform designed specifically for electric cars serves as the foundation for the e Vitara. The production-ready e Vitara has a muscular front bumper holding fog lamps, enlarged LED tail lamps, and new Y-shaped LED DRLs inside the headlamp cluster.
The rear passenger door handles are built into the C-pillar, and the side profile gets chunky-looking wheel arches. The Suzuki emblem and the e Vitara insignia are shown on the tailgate in a silver finish.

The teaser indicates that the India-spec e Vitara would include an electronic parking brake and a rotary dial on the centre console, much like the international model. A revised flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel, vertically aligned air conditioning vents, chrome dashboard elements, and a dual-tone interior are all features of the worldwide model. The e Vitara will also include a dual screen configuration, one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system.
It is anticipated that the e Vitara would be the first Maruti car featuring advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS. Six airbags, heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a regenerative braking system, and more are among the other noteworthy features.
There are two battery packs for the e Vitara on the international market: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The Mahindra BE 6, the Tata Curvv EV, the MG ZS EV, and the impending Hyundai Creta EV will all be rivals of the Maruti EV SUV.
