Brixton Motorcycles is set to make its mark in India, unveiling plans to introduce four distinct models tailored for the Indian market. With an eye on expanding its global presence, the Austria-based company has teamed up with KAW Veloce Motors to establish a robust sales and distribution network across the country.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone for Brixton, reflecting nearly two years of strategic planning to penetrate the vibrant Indian market. Owned by the KSR Group, which boasts a diverse portfolio including Motron Motorcycles and Malaguti Motorcycles, Brixton aims to infuse European elegance into the Indian riding experience.
Initial offerings will include adventure bikes, with the first model slated for launch during the upcoming festive season. These motorcycles, developed at Brixton”s Austrian design center, will roll off the assembly lines of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, owned by KAW Veloce.
Looking ahead, Brixton and KAW Veloce are poised to deepen their collaboration by establishing a dedicated research and development center in India. This strategic initiative aims to customize models specifically for the Indian market while positioning India as a key export hub for Brixton, targeting Southeast Asian and African markets.
In addition to manufacturing, Brixton Motorcycles is committed to building a robust dealer network across major Indian cities. The ambitious plan entails launching 15 dealerships by the end of 2024, with expansion to 50 outlets planned for the following year. This extensive network will ensure widespread accessibility and convenience for customers nationwide.
The adventure tourer, set to debut globally later this year, will mark Brixton”s inaugural offering in India. Subsequent launches will showcase the company”s diverse lineup, spanning from 125cc to 1,200cc capacity motorcycles, catering to a wide range of preferences and riding styles.
Backing this ambitious venture is KAW Veloce”s extensive experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record in sales, service, and spare parts distribution for leading brands such as Benelli, Keeway, Moto Morini, and Zontes across South Maharashtra and North Karnataka regions.
With its foray into the Indian market, Brixton Motorcycles aims to carve a niche for itself, offering discerning riders a blend of European sophistication and cutting-edge technology. As the company gears up for its Indian debut, anticipation is high for the unveiling of its distinctive lineup, promising a new era of exhilarating riding experiences on Indian roads.
