The Month of August is set to be a busy period for the two-wheeler industry with lineup of new and revamped motorcycles, scooters, and electric two-wheelers making their debut. Here are a list of top four most anticipated two-wheelers launches in August.

Ola Electric Motorcycle

Ola Electric could be launching its first all-electric motorcycle on August 15 like the BSA Gold Star. The company had shared a teaser on social media to showcase the new electric motorcycle for the commuter segment, but the official is expected to be sometime next year. The bike looks futuristic and aerodynamic in design, but the company has yet to reveal the motor and battery specifications and the range. Like its electric scooters, the motorcycle will get smart connectivity features and other updates.

Triumph Daytona 660

British two-wheeler manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles has announced that the Daytona 660 will be launched in India. Based on a tubular steel perimeter frame, the motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels, 41 mm upside down Showa front forks with 110 mm travel and a Showa mono-shock with 130 mm travel. It sports twin 310 mm front disc brakes and a single 220 mm rear disc brake with ABS. It will be powered by a 660 cc liquid-cooled 3 cylinder with 94 bhp at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm. with 6-speed gearbox.

TVS Jupiter

TVS Motor is the second best-selling scooter brand in the country thanks to it popularity. The scooter is available in two trims — a 110 cc trim and the 125 cc. TVS is planning to give the Jupiter 110 cc a much-needed overhaul.The scooter is expected to get a new front fascia with a connected LED DRL bar. TVS could increase the under-seat storage and introduce new design updates as it’s the need of the hour. The 7.7 bhp 109.7 cc engine will be producing 8.8 Nm of torque and comes standard with a CVT automatic transmission.

BSA Gold Star 650

BSA will mark its return to Indian on August 15th under the Classic Legends, Mahindra Group, which also relaunched Jawa and Yezdi in India earlier. The Gold Star 650 is a classic looking motorcycle with a 652 cc single-cylinder with twin spark plugs and an output of 45 bhp at 5000 rpm and 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The 5-speed gearbox gets a slipper clutch and will go up against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The motorcycle will get disc brakes and ABS.

The launches will cater to different segments of customer and every brand has something to offer to its niche customers as well as commuters who prefer to cut cost and encourage sustainability by reducing carbon foorprint.
