Bhavish Aggarwal’s Ola Electric cannot seem to catch a break because it’s busy catching fire. In a viral video, an Ola electric scooter can be seen catching fire and emitting smoke outside a Bengaluru showroom. Much like its products, the company has been under fire for its alleged terrible customer service, which came to light after the CEO had a public and online spat with comedian Kunal Kamra recently.
Congress member Lavanya Ballal Jain shared a video of the fiery scooter and wrote, “Just another fiery day in the life of ola scooter owner.” The incident reportedly occurred outside an Ola showroom in BTM layout in Bengaluru.

As the video went viral, netizens trolled CEO Aggarwal. One X user quipped, “Preparing for Diwali Dhamaka?” while another remarked. “That’s Ola’s corporate Diwali party.” Several others wondered if it was early Diwali season at Ola while another netizen took out his poetry skills and joked, “Ola. Aag ka gola.”
Ola Electric has been making headlines ever since comedian Kunal Kamra highlighted posted a photo on X questioning the service quality of the company. The matter became huge when Aggarwal accused Kamra of posting a “paid tweet” and challenged him to help fix the issue and made unwarranted jibes at the comedian’s career.
The comedian didn’t back out. He pointed out several instances of alleged shoddy customer service by the company and questioned if it had a refund policy for disappointed customers. Soon after, the two-wheeler EV maker’s shares fell nearly 9 percent, continuing its downward spiral of losing market value.
