Honda X ADV Launched At Rs 11.90 Lakh With 745cc Twin Cylinder Engine and DCT Gearbox

In India, Honda has launched the X-ADV maxi-scooter, which costs Rs 11.90 lakh. The X-ADV is a very unique product with few direct competitors, including an adventure-style maxi-scooter design and a 745cc twin-cylinder engine. Two days after launching the Rebel 500 bobber, Honda debuted a new model under the BigWing name. The X-ADV is a cross between an adventure bike and a scooter. This name was filed as a trademark in India in 2022. Here, Honda finally unveiled its adventure scooter.

A 745cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that generates 58.6 horsepower and 69 Nm powers the X-ADV. Similar to the flagship GoldWing and the Honda Africa Twin, the X-ADV also has a DCT gearbox (6 ratios, to be exact). It weighs 237 kilograms on the curb and has a 13.2 litre gasoline tank with 22 liters of underseat storage.

This adventure scooter is equipped with block-pattern tires and 17/15-inch (F/R) cross-spoke wheels. A 240mm disc at the back and two 296mm discs up front are responsible for braking. It has a pre-load adjustable monoshock with 150mm of travel at each end and a 41mm USD fork. In addition, the Honda has 820mm of seat height and 165mm of ground clearance.

Features include cruise control, switchable traction control and ABS, a 5.0-inch TFT display, keyless start, and several riding modes (Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, and User). There are two colour options for its single variant: black and white. It costs around Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Haryana), which is comparable to the BMW C 400 GT, which is Rs 40,000 less expensive than the Honda X-ADV but has a 350cc single-cylinder engine that generates 34 horsepower. Throughout India, BigWing Topline dealerships will sell it.

The Honda X-ADV 750 is one of the most distinctive models in the maxi-scooter market worldwide. It combines the comfort of a scooter with daily usefulness and the potential to go on adventure tours. The model that was teased for India seems to be the same most recent iteration that was unveiled globally, complete with new color options and upgraded functionality.

A 745cc parallel-twin engine that generates 58 horsepower and 69 Nm of peak torque powers the X-ADV 750. It is one of the few scooters in the nation with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The sturdy foundations are designed for mild off-road and touring capabilities and include long-travel suspension, dual disc brakes up front, and wire-spoke wheels measuring 17 inches in front and 15 inches in back.

LED illumination, a windscreen that can be adjusted, a huge digital display, and several riding modes are important features. Although it is unclear how Honda would package it for the Indian market, it is also available internationally with a variety of accessory packs, including Adventure, Comfort, and Urban.

With models like the Activa, Dio, and the recently released Activa Electric, Honda has so far dominated the Indian commuter scooter industry. However, the business seems to be changing course in response to the growing demand for luxury and lifestyle two-wheelers. The Rebel 500 and X-ADV teaser were unveiled back-to-back, demonstrating Honda’s renewed commitment to using its BigWing network to reach India’s premium market. It is important to remember that the X-ADV 750, registered in Arunachal Pradesh, has been seen on Indian roads before in complete road-legal condition.

It was thought to be a privately imported unit at the time. However, it now appears that a full-scale launch in India is approaching with this official teaser. The X-ADV 750’s pricing and debut date have not yet been confirmed by Honda India, but further information is anticipated in the days ahead. Like the Rebel 500, the scooter will be sold through Honda BigWing Topline dealerships in a few cities due to its premium status.
