
New Hyundai Verna SX+ Trim Launched At Rs 13.79 Lakh, Borrows Features From Top-Spec
The Hyundai Verna’s latest SX+ model costs Rs 13.79 lakh ex-showroom for the manual gearbox and Rs 15.04 lakh with the intelligent variable shifter (IVT). This new trim, which borrows a number of features from the top SX(O) model, makes the Verna more appealing. Hyundai India is now offering a wired-to-wireless converter for some midsize car models, allowing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to Verna, Hyundai is offering the adaptor with Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Aura, Venue (also N Line), and Alcazar vehicles.
The cost of the new wired-to-wireless converter is Rs 4,500. Only the Verna models with a 10.25-inch touchscreen—the SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O) Turbo—are compatible with it. The S, SX, SX+, and S(O) Turbo models, which have a smaller 8-inch screen, already enable wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, however the base Verna E trim lacks a touchscreen altogether.The new SX+ version of the Hyundai Verna boasts premium amenities and a more affordable petrol-DCT. Additionally, wireless connectivity increased among models.

The SX+ has 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, front parking sensors, and LED headlights. However, it takes features from the top-spec SX(O) model, such as the leatherette seat upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. ABD with EBD, ESC, TPMS, a rear parking camera, and six airbags—standard on all Hyundai models—are included for safety.
The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine is the only engine offered for the Verna SX+. The Hyundai engine produces 143.8 Nm and 115 horsepower when mated to either a 6-speed IVT or a 6-speed manual. Verna 1.5 MPI IVT is rated at 19.6 kpl according to the ARAI cycle, whereas the manual gearbox variant is rated at 18.6 kpl.

Hyundai has added premium equipment like a Bose sound system and ventilated seats from the top-spec SX(O) trim to its new SX+ variant for the Verna, which is priced at Rs 13.79 lakh (ex-showroom). With manual and IVT gearbox options, this gasoline-only version offers good mileage. To improve connectivity throughout its lineup, Hyundai also now sells a Rs 4,500 wired-to-wireless converter for wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on a few Verna models and other well-liked vehicles.
